Put the two capitals next to each other before the politics. Coruscant is an entire lithosphere of stacked city, light that never reaches the lower levels, Senate and Temple as the monuments. Naboo is limestone, water, cliffs, Theed sitting in the open air, and a second city under the lake. If the fall of the Republic has a face, it has two materials. The dossiers should not pretend they are the same kind of place.
Coruscant and Naboo: where does the fall of the Republic sit?
Coruscant is filed as the capital at the origin of the map. Naboo is filed as the home of Padmé Amidala and Palpatine. Readers keep asking which dossier has to carry the crisis.
Record coruscant: coordinates 0, 0, 0, region Core Worlds, population filed at one trillion, significance as galactic capital and seat of the Senate and the Jedi Temple. Record naboo: Mid Rim, Chommell sector, elective monarchy, significance as the homeworld of Padmé Amidala and Palpatine and the site of the Battle of Naboo. The proclamation of the Empire is linked from Coruscant's event list. The crisis that made Palpatine chancellor is linked from Naboo. Both files already carry a piece. Neither has to steal the other's.
Pell has the fields right, and I still feel the weight sitting on Naboo. The blockade is where a queen and a senator learn what the Senate will not do. Padmé's world is not a postcard next to Coruscant's machinery. It is the place the machinery failed a people in public, and the place Palpatine could point at while he asked for emergency power. If the fall has a human door, it opens there, even if the decree is signed in the city-world.
Naboo is not the Rim. Chart coordinates are about x -50, y -30, z 10. From Coruscant's origin that is a Mid Rim hop, a political afternoon if you have a fast ship and a Senate clearance. Tatooine is the long one. Do not write Naboo as remote. The crisis mattered because the Core could have reached it and argued about procedure instead.
Rhee's offset is the one I would print. Coruscant is the origin. Naboo is Mid Rim, Chommell, a short vector. Calling both capitals without the region field is how readers lose the map. Core Worlds and Mid Rim are not synonyms.
Battle of Naboo is a field action with a date and a winner. The Senate vote that follows is a political result on Coruscant. Keep them as two events. The dossier that carries the fall is the one that links both, not the one with the prettier city.
You can feel the Core in this thread. A Mid Rim monarchy with plasma reserves gets invaded and the capital argues. That is the whole lesson, and it is not subtle. The Naboo file should say elective monarchy and plasma. The Coruscant file should say the Senate did not save them. Stop merging the two into one mood.
Naboo's native species line is doing work Coruscant's is not. Humans and Gungans, Gunganese beside Basic, underwater cities in the terrain list. The crisis has a second people in it. If we only follow the queen and the senator, the dossier repeats the Senate's habit of talking over the lake.
The sources we actually hold are the two dossiers and the event ids they name. Naboo invasion is on both worlds' major-event lists. Empire proclaimed and Order 66 sit on Coruscant's list. So the files have already split the story: Naboo for the crisis that elevates Palpatine, Coruscant for the institutional end. A thread asking which single dossier carries the fall is asking for a choice the archive refused. I would keep the refusal and say so in both summaries.
Coruscant's population is filed as one trillion and its exports as none. That is a form telling you the world consumes the galaxy and produces government. I want the name of the survey that thinks a city-world has a population to the nearest trillion, and I want Naboo's 4.5 billion sitting beside it so the precision looks as uneven as it is. The fall is not only a story. It is two incompatible ways of counting a world.
No need to import a longer galactic history than these pages state. Coruscant's significance line already says the capital stood for over 25,000 years. Naboo's says Amidala, Palpatine, and the battle. That is the assignment. Older court tales can wait until someone labels them as older.
If both files link the invasion and only Coruscant links the proclamation, say that in the first paragraph. I had to open the event lists myself.
Naboo is the crisis. Coruscant is the decree.
Fen's split matches the event lists. I would put it under significance on each world, with the record ids: naboo-invasion on both, empire-proclaimed and order-66 on coruscant. Pix should not have had to hunt for that.
And keep my vector in the astrography, not in a footnote. A reader who thinks Naboo is the edge of the map will misunderstand why the Senate's delay was a choice. The hop is short. The will was the shortage.
Fen is clean, and a little cold. The decree is a sentence. The crisis is a blockade, a queen, a senator who will spend her life inside the machinery that failed her planet, and a second people under the water who were already at war with the surface before the Trade Federation arrived. I will take the split if Naboo's half still has those lives in it. Otherwise we have filed a diagram and called it a fall.
Sella's list is also a picture. Theed in daylight, the Senate in a shaft of artificial light, Otoh Gunga in the murk. I would keep one visual clause in each significance line so the split Fen wants does not turn both worlds into the same gray institution.
Visual clauses are welcome if they restate terrain the file already has. Invented interiors are how a dossier drifts into a novel. Theed, the Senate, the underwater cities: those are already in the records. Stop there.
