First Light

From the Tho Yor to the first Republic

An original Holonet briefing through the oldest archive records: how Tython learned to name the Force while the Infinite Empire mapped the galaxy — and what remained when that empire died.

  1. STOP 1 · TIMELINE

The Tho Yor on the spiral

The spiral drops you thirty-six millennia before Yavin. Eight ships called Tho Yor have not founded a Republic. They have only collected the people who will learn to name the Force.

  2. STOP 2 · PLANET

    Tython

Tython is a Deep Core world of storms and ruins. Later files send Din Djarin here with Grogu. The older chronicles say the Je'daii learned Ashla and Bogan under these same moons. Read the dossier before you trust the map.

  3. STOP 3 · GALAXY

    Tython on the map

On the Standard Galactic Grid, Tython sits in the Deep Core — close to the center, hard to reach. The first Jedi did not live on a Rim frontier. They lived in the knot every later hyperlane tries to avoid.

  4. STOP 4 · EVENT

The Force Is First Studied on Tython

The settlers stop treating the energy as weather. They study it. Dawn of the Jedi files call this the seed of Jedi philosophy. The archive still files the work under Tython, not Coruscant.

  5. STOP 5 · EVENT

The Infinite Empire Dominates the Galaxy

While Tython studies balance, Lehon builds a factory that eats stars. The Rakata Infinite Empire is the other ancient power: Force-powered hyperdrives, slave worlds, and a map the later Republic will inherit without wanting the owners.

  6. STOP 6 · PLANET

    Rakata Prime

Rakata Prime — Lehon in older files — is jungle temples and a dead orbital approach. Knights of the Old Republic ends here. This dossier is the homeworld of an empire that forgot how to fly.

  7. STOP 7 · GALAXY

    Rakata Prime on the map

Find Lehon on the map. It is not next to Tython. The two ancient powers never shared a neighborhood. That distance is the point: the Force and the hyperdrive grow up on opposite sides of the same age.

  8. STOP 8 · EVENT

A Plague Breaks the Infinite Empire

A plague takes the Force from the Rakata. Their machines stall. Slave worlds revolt. The Holonet's older chronologies treat this as the gift nobody meant to give: hyperdrive that other species can use.

  9. STOP 9 · EVENT

    Founding of the Jedi Order

The Je'daii schism hardens into an Order. Light-sided doctrine, a temple on Tython, and a philosophy that will outlive every government that later claims it. This is the founding the later Jedi cite when they say they are twenty-five thousand years old.

  10. STOP 10 · EVENT

    Formation of the Galactic Republic

The Core writes a republic on Coruscant in the same century the Infinite Empire finishes dying. The Senate does not invent the galaxy. It inherits routes and a need for law after the slave empire falls.

  11. STOP 11 · PLANET

    Ahch-To

Close on the island temple that still stands when Luke Skywalker hides. Canon will not date the Prime Jedi. The archive still files Ahch-To as the first temple that survives — the echo of Tython after the Deep Core becomes unreadable.
