Overview

A mysterious plague strips the Rakata of the Force. Slave worlds revolt, and Force-less hyperdrive spreads to other species.

Around 25,200 BBY the Rakata lose the Force-sensitivity that powered their machines. The Star Forge still orbits Lehon, but the Infinite Empire cannot hold its slaves. Holocron and Essential Chronology accounts treat this collapse as the moment hyperdrive knowledge leaves Rakatan hands. Core worlds that later found the Republic inherit routes the Infinite Empire had already mapped.
