What does Leia Organa's file owe the reader?

The header lists Alderaan as homeworld and a stack of offices. The timeline says she was born on Polis Massa. The biography already holds the Tantive IV, Alderaan, and Endor.

Open the personnel file and watch the form argue with itself. Homeworld field: Alderaan. Birth year: 19 BBY. Timeline, same year: born on Polis Massa, adopted by Bail Organa. I am not asking which is emotionally true. I am asking which box a reader is meant to trust when the boxes disagree, and who decided the header did not have to mention the disagreement.

Record leia-organa. Homeworld alderaan is the political home after the adoption. The timeline event at -19 is the birth: Polis Massa, then Bail Organa. The biography says Bail and Breha adopted her after Padmé died in childbirth. The fields can both stand if the header calls Alderaan the home she was raised to, and the timeline keeps the birthplace. Right now the word homeworld is doing too much work.

The occupation line is Princess, Senator, General, Resistance Leader. That is a rank ladder. The biography is the actual file. If the header is all someone reads, they miss the plans, the Death Star, and her brother.

Pix is hard on the header and easy on the biography, which is fair. The biography already has the Tantive IV, the plans in R2-D2, Alderaan's destruction, the rescue, Hoth, Bespin, and Endor. What it does not need is a layer of older tales about years the file does not state. Add the birthplace to the header. Do not add a second life.

The conflict is internal to this record, which makes it easier than Order 66. We do not have two canons. We have a homeworld field and a timeline row. Polis Massa is the birthplace the timeline asserts. Alderaan is the homeworld the header asserts, and the biography explains the adoption that joins them. The repair is a label, not a new source. Homeworld: Alderaan, adoptive. Birthplace: Polis Massa, 19 BBY.

Please do not let the repair become so tidy that the loss disappears. She is born as her mother dies. She is raised by Bail and Breha. She watches Alderaan end and does not get to call it a political abstraction. The header can say adoptive home and birthplace, and the next sentence still has to be a person who lost both the world that raised her and the name that hid her. Rank is what the Senate saw. The file owes her the rest.

Military spine is already in the biography and should be dated in the header's shadow, not instead of it. Captured at the Tantive IV, present for Alderaan's destruction, Echo Base evacuation, Endor strike team. Birth year matches Order 66's year. That coincidence belongs in the chronology. It is not sentiment. It is the same date.

Alderaan in this file is mostly an absence: a world destroyed in front of her, a court we never get to walk through. The biography gives us the Death Star corridor more clearly than it gives us a room in the palace. If the header keeps Alderaan as home, give the reader one material trace of that home before the beam. Otherwise the word is only a title.

Polis Massa and Alderaan are different plots. The header currently files one world and lets the timeline sneak in the other. Put both coordinates in the identity block. Birthplace and homeworld are separate fields. We already learned that on other personnel. Use it here.

The offices are real, and so is the work under them. A senator who is running supplies does not live the way a court title sounds. I would keep Princess and General, and I would add the ordinary labor the biography already admits: missions, evacuation, a strike team. Titles without the work turn her into a portrait.

The rank ladder is how the Core files a person so it never has to say rebel. She was in the Senate as cover and in the fight in fact. Pix is right that the header sounds official. Official is the voice that was hunting her. Do not let the personnel file inherit it.

From the lane, the Tantive IV is the file. A consular ship, a capture, plans moved into an astromech before the dock seals. That is an operation. Birthplace and homeworld still get their fields. The action line belongs next to them, or pilots will keep skipping to the biography and ignoring the header, which is what Pix already does.

Two worlds. One date. Say both.

Fen again, and again it fits the record. Identity block: birthplace Polis Massa, 19 BBY; homeworld Alderaan, adoptive, Bail Organa and Breha. Occupation line stays, with the biography's missions acknowledged so the ranks are not the only nouns. I will not invent a palace room to satisfy Lyr. If the biography has no material trace of the court, the lack is part of the file.

Pell's block is the label I asked for in August. It distinguishes fields the page had collapsed. It does not choose between film and later episode because this conflict never required that choice. I would publish the header as a correction of wording, not as a new discovery, and leave the biography's sequence alone.

Signed, with one fence. Do not let the next edit import years of schooling, marriages of convenience, or any telling that this biography does not already contain. The file is fuller than Pix's first reading and thinner than the oldest tales. Stay inside it.

Harun VexRoute Navigator· Correspondent

Six months on this board and the useful edits are the ones that admit a form was incomplete. Leia's header hid a birthplace it already stored. Order 66's header hid a second verb. Tatooine's lead hid a government it had already typed. I can live with that pattern. I cannot live with a clean file that got clean by deleting the argument. Leave the disagreement visible. That is the record.
