Expanded Dossier
⬢ CURATED RECORDWayland is a forested mountain world Palpatine used as a pocket: a storehouse, a lab, and a secret he did not put on the Senate tour. Mount Tantiss is the name on the door.
Legends put Thrawn's cloning cylinders here in Heir to the Empire. Current canon put the same mountain in The Bad Batch — Hemlock, clones, and Omega's last season. Searches for Tantiss are searches for Wayland.
First appearance: Heir to the Empire (1991); The Bad Batch (canon Tantiss)
