⬢ CURATED RECORDRyloth is the Twi'lek homeworld, a tidally-stressed world of scorched dayside, frozen night, and the habitable twilight band between, where cities honeycomb the canyon walls. Its beauty - and its people - have been exported by slavers for millennia, a wound at the center of Twi'lek identity.
In the Clone Wars the Separatist occupation under Wat Tambor starved its villages until the Republic's liberation campaign (and Cham Syndulla's Free Ryloth movement) drove the droids out. The Empire simply replaced them; Cham's resistance fought on, and his daughter Hera carried the family war galaxy-wide as the Ghost's captain in the early Rebellion.
