Ralltiir is a wealthy Core-adjacent banking world whose financiers once underwrote half the Rim. Weeks before Yavin, the Empire occupied it to choke Rebel credit lines and make an example of a 'loyal' world that had grown too sympathetic.

Derek 'Hobbie' Klivian was born here; Rebel sympathizers smuggled news of the occupation to the Alliance. In A New Hope's unused crawl drafts and later reference books, Ralltiir is the crisis Leia had been racing toward before Tantive IV was caught over Tatooine.
