Polis Massa is not a planet but the shattered remains of one - an asteroid field where an ancient cataclysm broke a world apart. Kallidahin archaeologists (the 'Polis Massans') established a research base on the largest planetoid to excavate the remnant of the species that died with it, building sealed habitat domes and medical facilities in the airless quiet.

Its remoteness made it the Alliance's best-kept secret in 19 BBY: here Padme Amidala was brought after Mustafar, here Luke and Leia Skywalker were born, and here she died. Obi-Wan, Yoda and Bail Organa parted ways from its medical bay carrying the galaxy's two greatest hopes in opposite directions.

First appearance: Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith (2005)
