Mandalore
aka The Warrior Planet
Coordinates: Canon (Star Systems of the Galaxy, 2025)
Expanded Dossier
⬢ CURATED RECORDMandalore is the scarred cradle of the galaxy's most storied warrior culture. Ancient wars - among Mandalorians and against the Jedi - glassed much of its surface into white desert; its people retreated into bio-domed cities like Sundari, and later split between Duchess Satine's New Mandalorian pacifists, Death Watch revanchists, and traditionalists in exile.
Maul's takeover, the Republic's siege, and the Empire's Great Purge - culminating in the Night of a Thousand Tears - left Mandalore broken and its people scattered. The Darksaber, the black-bladed symbol of Mandalorian rule, passed through Maul, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze and Moff Gideon before Din Djarin's era saw the clans retake the homeworld and relight the Great Forge.
First appearance: The Clone Wars season 2 (2010); concept dates to The Empire Strikes Back's Boba Fett
