Lothal

Lothal is a prairie world of grass seas, stone spires and ancient Jedi secrets, strip-developed by the Empire as a factory and testing ground for the TIE Defender program. Its capital city's smokestacks displaced farmers into 'Tarkintown'; its Imperial academy trained the children of the dispossessed.

Lothal was the home of Ezra Bridger and the birthplace of the Spectres rebel cell chronicled in Rebels. Beneath its surface, a Jedi temple opened onto the World Between Worlds - a plane outside time. Its liberation in 1 BBY, sealed by Ezra's purrgil summons dragging Grand Admiral Thrawn's fleet into hyperspace, made it the rare world freed before Endor.
