Exegol is the Sith's hidden redoubt in the Unknown Regions - a lightning-wracked desert reachable only by Sith wayfinder through the region's anarchic hyperspace. Beneath its crust lies the Sith Citadel, a temple-shipyard where the Sith Eternal cult kept the broken body of Darth Sidious alive after Endor and built the Final Order: a fleet of planet-killing Star Destroyers raised from the ice.

In 35 ABY Rey followed the wayfinders here, faced her grandfather, and - with 'all the Jedi' behind her and Ben Solo beside her - ended the Sith. The citizens' fleet summoned by Lando Calrissian broke the Final Order above the citadel's grave.
