⬢ CURATED RECORDDantooine is an empty-quarter world of lavender savannas and abandoned history: ancient Rakatan ruins and a Jedi enclave in the old tales, a decommissioned Rebel base in the new ones. Its remoteness is its destiny - everyone hides here, then leaves.
When Leia Organa named Dantooine as the Rebel base under interrogation, Tarkin's survey found only ruins - the Alliance had already moved to Yavin. The lie preserved the Rebellion and doomed Alderaan. In the deeper past of Legends, the Jedi enclave here trained Revan's generation before Malak's fleet glassed it.
