Csilla

Csilla is the frozen throneworld of the Chiss Ascendancy, deep in the Unknown Regions - a glacial planet whose cities descend into the ice, ruled by the Aristocra of the Nine Ruling Families. Cut off from the galaxy by the anarchic hyperspace of the west, the Chiss navigate by sky-walkers: Force-sensitive children whose gift of Third Sight fades with age.

The Ascendancy's doctrine forbids preemptive war, a line its greatest officer - Mitth'raw'nuruodo, Thrawn - bent until it broke, accepting exile into Imperial space as a gambit against the threats gathering in the galaxy's dark margins.
